SPORTSMAN TO ATTEND TYLER ART SCHOOL
THE MAST
May 17, 1968  page four
“Mike Willse has made many outstanding accomplishments as astar shot putter for the track team during the past two years. He showed great skill in winning five first places in the shot put each year and is doing extremely well again this year.  Mike, a commercial art student, also holds the positions of art editor for the 1968 yearbook and contributing editorial cartoonist of the Mast.  He has been accepted at the Tyler School of Art of Temple University. He expects to work in the field of advertising upon graduating.  Mike, the shy type, was quite hesitant about giving out a great deal of information about himself, but all of us know he’s a great guy to have around.”

Michael Willse’s work has included in more than 100 exhibitions, including Galleria Neon, Bologna Italy, Ex Pescheria Galleria, Cesena, Italy, the Alternative Museum in NYC, Sideshow Gallery, Brooklyn, Philadelphia Museum of Art, the More Gallery, Philadelphia,  Schmidt/Dean Gallery, Philadelphia.
